Musselman High School Band hails from South Berkeley County, Inwood WV. The Musselman Band provides many performance ensembles. These ensemble opportunities are designed to challenge students and build their excellence.

Musselman Marching Band has earned four Chapter XIII Championships in Group II and in 2006 finished 7th at the Atlantic Coast Championships in Group III

Many Musselman Band ensembles and Indoor/Outdoor Colorguards have received numerous 1st place finishes and superior ratings.

All students participating in the marching band program need to review all BTI dates. A June -August Calendar will be available to students on Monday, May 19,2008

Spring Concert Wednesday, May 28, 2008 Spring Concert Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Students are to report at the Band Room at 6:30 p.m. Repertoire: "To Tame the Perilous Skies, - Bridges etc."

Band Scholarships Awarded
Justin Kline and Owen Funck Receive Scholarships. Two 1000.00 Dollars Scholarships were awarded during the MHS Band Banquet. Justin Kline Received the David and Carolyn Hayford scholarship and Owen Funck received the ALbert Copenhaver Scholarship.

Blue Ridge Jazz Festival Friday, April 25, 2008
Smithsburg High School will be hosting the Blue Ridge jazz band festival on April 25, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.

The Musselman High School Drumline performed at the first West Virginia Art's Alive Gala in the beautiful Charleston Clay Center. The Applemen Drumline opened the event representing the MHS Band as the one of the finest marching band programs in the state of West Virgina

         

MHS instrumentalists preparing for the 2008 WVU Honor Band Festival
WVSSAC Adjudications Adjudications is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10. Musselman Concert band is preparing "To Tame the Perilous Skies" by David Holsinger and "Ride" Samuel Hazo.




As our season draws forward remember the little moments. We are in the company of the leaders of tomorrow.
